LifeLine Ministries to RLDS: Who Are We?
We, or family members of ours, once were faithful, active, tithe paying members of the RLDS/CoC church, honored to be members of the one true church, loyal to Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. Over the years our group has included former bishops and pastors, high priests and elders, teachers, deacons and priests.
We each were challenged to look objectively at our Restoration beliefs and found they could not stand up to objective scrutiny. We each were then faced with a choice; to stay in the church, knowing that it was not what it portrayed itself to be, or to leave the church with all the personal upheaval that such a drastic step would create. Eventually we all left, some of us finding the Biblical plan of salvation before our exit and some of us after.
We discovered that the only true church, the body of Christ, is made up of all true believers regardless of what denomination they belong to. We learned that of the three priesthoods mentioned in the Bible, Joseph Smith chose to include in his church the two, the Melchizedek and the Aaronic, which are unavailable to Christians. He neglected to include the only one that is available to Christians, the Royal Priesthood. We discovered that when we become Christians, we automatically become a part of this Royal Priesthood, the priesthood of all believers.
Do you desire to become a member of the true community of Christ? Please prayerfully compare God’s plan for your salvation to that offered by the CoC. We rejoice that we were able to free ourselves from the false foundations of Joseph Smith because a caring Christian challenged us to make the same comparison we ask of you.
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18)
Testimonies
Many people who have left the RLDS/Community of Christ Church have found newly discovered freedom as Bible-believing Christians. Freed from the fear of wondering if they were good enough or had done enough during their lifetime to gain entrance to heaven, they have gratefully accepted the grace and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.
Please take a moment to read some of their testimonies that we share here:
