Joseph Smith introduced several books of “new scripture” to the world as well as a “new translation” of the Bible. Down through the ages the Bible has been accepted by Christians as God’s instruction manual to the world. Given the crucial part God’s Word plays in the lives of Christians, it seems appropriate to analyze what Smith labeled as “scripture.”
