We seek to share with the world the Biblical gospel—that salvation from sin and death is only available by the grace of God through faith in the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We have found that the teachings of Joseph Smith lead people away from this simple Biblical truth, replacing it with a works-based belief system that cannot save human souls. His teachings are still in prominent use today in the Mormon Church, the Community of Christ and the various Restoration churches.
Therefore, our mission is to make available historical and doctrinal evidence that Joseph Smith’s Restoration gospel is a distortion of the Christian gospel and can save no one.
At the same time, we want to share with all who will receive it, the true gospel—God’s Good News for mankind—the one found in the Bible.
“But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.
And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach,
patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition….“
2 Timothy 2:23-25a (NKJV)

Doctrinal Statement of LifeLine Ministries to RLDS
Note: In 2000, delegates to the World Conference of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints voted to change the church’s popular name to Community of Christ. The change became official in 2001. Nevertheless, the church’s legal name remains, Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Consequently on this website, the church, its members and leaders will be referred to by the commonly accepted abbreviation “RLDS,” unless otherwise indicated.
